Molly came in to my camera room earlier in the week for a little bit of tap and ballet! We hit it off right away and worked off each other's creativity. There's something about working with ballerinas that is inspiring; the grace, power, and precision they execute in each placement of each finger to the angle of the toes that mirrors the perfection photographers strive for in our own artistic medium. I haven't shot over 60 images in a single session in a very long time - this one came out to 190. I narrowed it down to 45. The keepers came made the cut because of their refined details of her work and of mine.
Her mom and I met in person to go through each one and narrow it down further for only the best of the best for Molly's heirlooms. I cannot wait for them to receive their "The Portfolio" Book - a 10x10 hand crafted, hinged portrait book featuring 21 of the most favorites. Others will be printed for display around their home. They'll be little gems that Molly will reflect on - they'll remind her to be proud of her talents, her love of dance, the discipline it's taught her to apply to other parts of her life, the friendships that have been made, and how much her parents support her in everything she does.
